Devices
Signagio targets Android-based TVs, TV boxes, and media players that can install the Signagio app from the Download page (APK / store—per your distribution).
Choose hardware that can:
- Run 1080p or your target resolution smoothly for video and web content
- Stay powered and networked for long periods (kiosk / signage use)
Displays
Use commercial or consumer panels according to your environment; match orientation (landscape vs portrait) to how you configured the screen in admin.
Network
- A stable internet connection is required for publishing, updates, and live widgets (weather, RSS, websites).
- Firewall / proxy rules should allow the Signagio API endpoints used by the player and admin (consult your IT deployment guide if provided).
Remote management
For many screens, use MDM or Android enterprise tools to deploy the app, control updates, and lock down the device to signage use.
