Media library
Media items are the building blocks of slides. You upload or configure them once, then reuse them across playlists.
Uploading files
- Supported types typically include images and videos (see product limits for size and formats).
- Upload through the Media section; files are stored in your account’s library.
- You may see folder size or usage indicators depending on plan.
Slide / media types
Common media types in Signagio include:

| Website | Full-page web content; URL may be validated from the admin UI |
| YouTube | Embedded YouTube URLs in the playlist |
| Clock | Analog-style clock with configurable city / timezone styling |
| Weather | Weather widget with location / coordinates |
| RSS | Ticker-style or formatted RSS feeds |
Some types use a payload (JSON) for options like city, colours, or feed URL—the admin forms guide you through these fields.
Media hub & content tools
Depending on your deployment, Media hub or similar views help you browse and pick content when building playlists or screens.
Deleting media
If an item is referenced by a playlist, the system may block deletion until you remove those slides—this prevents broken playlists.
